Day 1 - Arrival in Santa Cruz
Upon arrival in the "La Isla Bonita", you will be transferred from La Palma Airport to the hotel located in Santa Cruz, capital of the island. In this city that was a meeting point for Flemish merchants, there are lavish palaces that today house museums and boutiques.

Day 2 - Enjoy your day in the northeast of the island 9 miles I 14 km
This first day of walking will be to discover the northeast of La Palma. From Santa Cruz, we will take you to Los Sauces, the capital of the municipality of San Andres.
From there you will start walking through nature, enjoying the incredible coastal views and the deep ravines that characterize the island.
When you arrive in San Andres, you will have the chance to walk through its streets and admire its charming colonial architecture.
Later, continue your journey to Puntallana, a beautiful and traditional town surrounded by lush greenery, where you will find one of the best beaches on the island, Nogales Beach.
At the end of the day, take a bus on your account to return to Santa Cruz.
From there you will start walking through nature, enjoying the incredible coastal views and the deep ravines that characterize the island.
When you arrive in San Andres, you will have the chance to walk through its streets and admire its charming colonial architecture.

Day 3 - Santa Cruz to Barlovento 7 miles I 11 km
Start the day with an inclusive transfer from Santa Cruz to Los Tilos, where you will find one of the most important laurel forests in the Canary Islands.
You will be able to discover the vegetation and beauty of the island as you progress through the Barranco de la Herradura. Afterwards, you will walk along an old cobbled path and enjoy the sea views until you reach Barlovento, where you will spend the night.

This tour will take you through the gorges and along the island shores. You will encounter rural villages during your walk to Los Gallegos.
You will have the chance to cross the imposing gorge of the Franceses ravine and make a final ascent to the village of Las Tieras. This last stretch will give you a beautiful panoramic view of the coast.
After enjoying the incredible views, take a bus on your own back to Barlovento.

Day 5 - Walk to Roque del Faro 5,6 miles I 9 km
From Barlovento we will take you to Franceses. There you will be surrounded by a path of rural charm where you will be in direct contact with nature in the Barranco de los Hombres Nature Reserve. You will find cliffs up to 200 metres high and a great variety of birds and flora.
Ascend via El Tablado to Roque del Faro, another small village in this area, and return by bus to your accommodation in Barlovento.

Day 6 - Barlovento to Santa Cruz 7,5 miles I 12 km
The day starts with a taxi transfer to Roque de los Muchachos, the highest point on La Palma and a privileged place for lovers of astronomy, as it has one of the best skies for observation, not least because it is home to one of the main astronomical observatories in the world.
After this visit, you will continue along a mountain trail, surrounding the volcanic crater in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. The tour will end at Pico de la Nieve, also located at one of the highest points on the island. Take the opportunity to take lots of pictures, as from here you will have a 360° view of the island.
At the end of your walk, we will transfer you by taxi to Santa Cruz.

Day 7 - Enjoy your day in the incredible volcano route 10,7 miles I 17,2 km

After a transfer to the Refugio El Pilar, you will start a long walk through the impressive Caldera de Taburiente National Park, which ends in Fuencaliente.
This route has a considerable descent and walking along the edges of the crater at a certain height will require you to be in good physical condition, so you can avoid this part of the route if you prefer. You have the option of finishing your walk in Los Canarios and from there take a taxi or bus back to your accommodation.
If you decide to do the whole route, you will have to take a bus or taxi on your own to return to your hotel in Santa Cruz.
