FAQs
Is luggage transfer included? What are the luggage requirements?
Absolutely! Each traveller has included 1 piece of luggage that we will transfer between your accommodations. It's important that this piece of luggage meets the following criterias:
- Maximum weight of 45 lbs (20 kg).
- Must be only 1 piece of luggage without any attachments or accessories.
- Should not contain valuables, fragile items, food or medications.
- Must be correctly identified (booking reference of your trip and the full name of the trip holder).
How far in advance should I book?
As this is a high-demand and very short-season walking area, we recommend that you make your reservation as soon as you have your plans ready.
What should my physical preparation be?
For this tour an average daily walk of 12 km is planned with significant ascents and descents, so the rating is moderate to strenuous. The route goes through rocky mountain trails, gravel, forests and stony paths.
Some of the paths are narrower or exposed, so equipment is required to secure your feet in certain areas. There are also easier-to-overcome areas where no special equipment is required.
It is recommended to take this tour having had previous experience of mountain walking and being in good physical shape, in addition to the tranquillity of being able to get on a cable car at the beginning or end of the hikes.
What kind of equipment do I need?
Comfortable walking clothes, waterproof jacket and pants and good shoes or walking boots – ideally waterproof – hat and gloves. In the information dossier, we will show you all the details of the equipment with tips to prepare your backpack.
What is the best date to go on this trip?
You can do this trip from early July to mid-September, starting any day of the week. We recommend that you travel in July or September.
If you do this in July, you can enjoy the colourful flowering in the area, while in September you will enjoy more pleasant temperatures in a relaxed atmosphere.
What is the cost of the cable cars?
To make the most of your time, we recommend you purchase a cable car pass so you can start walking at altitude without exhausting your energies by walking long routes through the forests.
For this, although there are several options, the most recommended is to buy a 5-day card to use the cable cars as many times as you want during that period, with a cost of approximately 65 euros per person.
