Day 1 - Arrival in Sagres
Arrive in the charming city of Sagres, and at your first stay you enjoy a delicious dinner, relax in its facilities, and rest in its comfortable rooms.

Day 2 - Sagres to Pedralva 14,3 miles | 23 km
You will start the day with a transfer included from Sagres to Vila do Bispo. Upon arrival, you will follow the Fishermen's Trail through a path filled with pine trees and cliffs. From there, you will head to the beautiful Amado Beach (Praia do Amado), a famous surfing beach, perfect for disconnecting and relaxing.

Afterward, you can have lunch in the village of Carrapateira, where its bars and restaurants offer countless options to enjoy. Explore this village full of history and do not miss the Museum of the Earth and Sea (Museu do Mar e da Terra), as you will learn about the fishing traditions and economies.

Later, on your way to Pedralva, you will get to know the Rota Vicentina and visit one of the best viewpoints in the Algarve.

Day 3 - Enjoy your day at Amado Beach 12 miles | 19 km
This is a day to enjoy the tranquillity and admire the beauty of this wonderful destination's landscapes. 

Today you will walk to Amado Beach (Praia do Amado), a beautiful beach that stretches across three valleys. It is ideal for surfing due to its versatile and large waves, which is why national and international surfing championships are held here. 

On the way there you'll find a trail located at the top of a spectacular cliff. When you arrive, you can relax in the different rest areas and enjoy the views of the landscape dominated by warm colours. 

Also, if you wish, you can take this day to stay in the village of Pedralva and visit the cosy and traditional coloured houses that characterise the place.

Day 4 - Pedralva to Vila Do Bispo 11 miles | 18 km
For this day, you have two paths you can take, both spectacular. The shorter route will take you through the Rota Vicentina and its spectacular meadows, which will guide and accompany you to the village of Vila do Bispo. 

The longer route will bring you closer to Barriga Beach (Praia da Barriga), where you can enjoy a picnic while admiring the landscape towards the cliffs and valleys.

Day 5 - Enjoy your day in Vila do Bispo 5,5 miles | 9 km
Today you will walk to the cliffs and viewpoints above Vila do Bispo until you reach Torre da Aspa, an obelisk located at the highest point of the Vicentina coast, from where you will get beautiful views of the water currents.

Also, if you do not wish to walk, you can visit the beautiful city of Lagos. You can get there by bus. This city is surrounded by 14th-century walls, whose architecture is worth admiring and not to be missed. You will see the ornate churches dating back to the 13th century and discover the treasures in every street.

Day 7 - Enjoy your day around Sagres 7,2 miles | 11,6 km

Start the day by heading to Ponta de Atalaia, from where you can delight in the imposing views over Sagres. Then, continue to the beaches of Baleeira, Mareta, and Martinhal, the latter being perfect for resting, walking on the sand, and having a cold drink at one of the local bars.

Before returning to Sagres, the tour will take you to the viewpoint of Cabo de Sagres and the Sagres lighthouse, located near the Sagres fortress.

Day 8 - Sagres to Lagos 9,3 miles | 15 km
On this day, you can discover the landscape of the most beautiful coastal trails in the Algarve. After an included transfer from Sagres, you will arrive in Burgau, the starting point of this hiking route.

Burgau is a picturesque fishing village, characterized by its beautiful rural houses located on the beach and being sheltered by impressive cliffs. On your tour, you can stop for lunch at one of the typical restaurants and enjoy local food or a picnic on the beach.

Day 10 - Lagos to Sagres 10 miles | 16 km
The day begins with an included transfer from Lagos to Figueira. Upon arrival, the path will lead you to the wonderful cliff over Praia do Zavial.

Afterwards, continue along the beaches of Ingrina, Barranco and the small Playa dos Rebolinhos Beach before returning to your hotel.

You can enjoy a colourful day with the blue sea by the beaches and the green of the paths.

Travel & transfers

The best way to get to Sagres is to take a plane to Faro International Airport.

From the city of Faro you have the possibility to take a bus operated "Flixbus" to the city of Lagos. From there you can choose to take a bus operated by "Vamus" or take a taxi with an estimated time of 35 minutes to Sagres.

Another option is to fly to Portela Airport (Lisbon) and from there you can travel by bus to Sagres.

At the end of your hiking trip we recommend flying from Faro International Airport or Portela Airport (Lisbon).
