Day 1 - Arrival in St. Bees
St. Bees, a small town on the west coast of Cumbria, famous for its extensive sandy beach, will be the starting point for this unforgettable walking holiday in the north of England.

Day 2 - St. Bees to Ennerdale 15 miles | 24 km
This is a preamble of what this route will be like. Start your day by visiting St. Bees Head, a reddish-sand cliff from where you'll have incredible views of Scotland, the Isle of Man, and the south coast. Later, you will continue on your path to the Lake District, a region in the north-west of England characterized by its beautiful landscapes of lakes and mountains, and ascend Dent Hill, a 352-metre-high promontory.

Just where the Wainwright Coast to Coast route turns right towards wild Ennerdale you will find The Shepherds Arms, an old farmhouse in the centre of Ennerdale Bridge offering a warm and friendly welcome in traditional Lakeland style.

Day 3 - Ennerdale to Rosthwaite 16 miles | 26 km
Start your day walking on the shores of Ennerdale Water, a glacial lake located on the western side of Lake District National Park.

You will then head through the lower reaches and near the peaks of this area of the National Park to Rosthwaite, a charming little village about 10km south of Keswick, in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley beyond Derwentwater. It is surrounded by green mountains and nestled between the River Derwent and Stonethwaite Beck.

Keswick or Grasmere: in case there is no availability at Rosthwaite, you will be hosted at one of these locations. We will arrange for you to have the necessary transfers between locations.

Day 4 - Rosthwaite to Patterdale 17 miles | 27 km
Start your tour to Patterdale with the breath-taking views you'll have as you ascend Lining Crag, one of the summits in the Lake District.

Later, you can continue through the Wythburn Valley and then through Easedale Valley, or follow Helm Crag, a 405-metre-high promontory located in the Central Fells, a group of hills within this region. You can make a stop in Grasmere, the village where renowned English poet William Wordsworth lived for 14 years.

Then you will continue through the valley and have the possibility to enjoy the panoramic views of Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District, until you reach your destination for today.

Day 5 - Patterdale to Shap 16 miles | 26 km
Today is the day to say goodbye to the Lake District to follow your path to Shap. You'll begin an ascent to Kidsty Pike, later drop west to Haweswater Reservoir, then continue on a simpler stretch, which although extensive, won't need as much effort.

Day 6 - Shap to Kirkby Stephen 20,5 millas | 32 km
On your route to Kirkby Stephen, you can enjoy a relaxed walk without many ascents. You'll stop at Orton, a small village south of Penrith, Cumbria and close to the River Lune.

After lunch, you can follow your way through the fields, crops and prehistoric archaeological sites.

You'll start your journey across the River Eden, a short coastal river, then ascend to Nine Standards Rigg, a line of markers on the edge of a cliff from where you can enjoy stunning views. You'll follow your path to Keld later.

The first option will be close to the ruins of a lead mine, from where you'll have incredible views.

The second is on the banks of the River Swale, a tributary in Yorkshire.

Day 11 - Ingleby Cross to Great Broughton 12 miles | 19 km

Your day starts with an inclusive transfer from Great Broughton to Clay Bank Top. Once at Clay Bank Top, you will begin your walk to Glaisdale.  You will ascend Urra Moor, the highest moor in the North York Moors National Park at 454 metres, then continue to Farndale, a beautiful valley that is even more fascinating in spring when thousands of daffodils bloom, all the way to Blakey Ridge.

Later you will walk through the Esk Valley until you reach your destination, a charming and traditional village located in the heart of the York Moors National Park.

The Arncliffe Arms is a pub located in the village of Glaisdale, which is situated in the North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire.

The pub has a long history, dating back to the early 19th century when it was originally a coaching inn, providing accommodation and refreshment for travellers passing through the area. It has six guest B&B rooms, there are singles, doubles and twins all with ensuite showers, TV’s, fluffy towels and tea and coffee making facilities in every room.

Day 13 - Glaisdale to Robin Hood's Bay 19,5 miles | 31 km
The first stop of the day will be at Egton Bridge, a picturesque village in the Scarborough district, below Egton Valley.Then you will follow Grosmont, a quiet village in the Esk Valley.

Later you will ascend and then descend on uneven terrain until you reach Robin Hood's Bay, which is both a bay and charming fishing village. We recommend that you have your camera at hand, as this is a fascinating place worth having a photo from.

The first is to get to Manchester Airport and then transfer to St. Bees by train (approximately 4 hours).

The second is to get to Newcastle Airport and take a train to St. Bees (approximately 4 hours).

The third option is to travel to one of London's airports and from there take a train to St. Bees.

When you've finished your trip, from Robin Hood's Bay you can head by train or bus to Manchester or Newcastle airports (about 4 hours) to take your flight back to your home city.

Absolutely! Each traveller has included 1 piece of luggage that we will transfer between your accommodations. It's important that this piece of luggage meets the following criterias:
