Day 1 - Arrival in Ellington
Start your trip in Newcastle, you can get directly to your airport or head by train from London or Manchester. The bus ride from Newcastle to Ellington takes 45 minutes.

Day 2 - Ellington to Warkworth 10,6 miles I 17,2 km
You will start the day with a self-arranged transfer from Ellington or Morpeth to Cresswell. Once there, you'll start your walk along Druridge Bay, a long sandy path where you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the water's edge while spotting the occasional seabird that inhabits the Druridge Bay Country Park nature reserve.
You will pass through Amble, situated on the River Coquet, before reaching the ancient village of Warkworth, with two outstanding buildings at either end: Warkworth Castle and St Lawrence Church.

Day 3 - Warkworth to Craster 13 miles I 21 km
The first fishing village you will find during this day will be Alnmouth, located along the River Aln estuary and surrounded by fields in various colours that make the landscape a unique one.
The path will continue along to Boulmer, with a large number of houses located on the coast.
Craster is also home to Rumbling Kern Cove, which was a haven for whisky smugglers and is now a renowned beach in the area.

Day 4 - Craster to Seahouses 10 miles I 16 km
On the first route of this walk, you can see the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, built in 1313. Continue along Beadnell Bay, a crescent-shaped beach with a pier where salmon and sea trout are fished.
The walk ends at Seahouses, a lively and colourful fishing port known as the gateway to the Farne Islands. This town is the perfect place for birdwatching, as it is home to one of Europe's most important bird sanctuaries, with over 20 different species, including puffins and terns. It is also home to large colonies of seals.

This day's walk will take you through to Bamburgh, with one of England's most iconic castles, elevated 150 feet above the coast and with beautiful views over the sea.
