Day 1 - Arrival in Jezersko
We recommend flying to Ljubljana Airport, capital of Slovenia. There you can take a bus or taxi to Jezersko, where your walking holiday will begin.

Day 2 - Circular route through Ceska Koca 7,3 miles I 11,8 km
Today a circular hike will take you to Ceska Koca, a mountain hut, located at 1.543 metres above sea level. It is one of the oldest and best-known mountain huts in Slovenia and is located amidst the northern walls of Grintovec Mountain, on a small plain called Spodnje Ravne. Here you can enjoy homemade food and typical strudel, a cake made with apples or quark cheese.
On the way back to Jezersko, you will come across the small heart-shaped lake, Plansarsko Jezero, built by the locals in memory of a larger glacial lake from which Jezersko got its name.

Today's tour will take you through the northern side of the Kamnik Alps and the Savinja, a mountain range of exceptional beauty, where time seems to stand still.
You'll advance through forests and meadows to the viewpoint of the Jezersko Valley, the perfect place to appreciate Slovenia's most breathtaking scenery.

Day 4 - Jezersko to Begunje 7,8 miles I 12,5 km
You will start the day with an included transfer from Jezersko to Ljubelj, near the border between Slovenia and Austria. Upon arrival, the trail will take you through a short underground tunnel that was originally dug by traders in order to reduce travel time between the Slovenian state of Carniola and the Austrian state of Carinthia.
Once you pass through the tunnel, you will come across the path that follows the old shepherds' route. You will then enter the peaceful Draga valley, which will allow you to enjoy the impressive forests and rich vegetation. This final stretch will bring you closer to the historic village of Begunje.
In Begunje you can visit the ruins of Kamen Castle, built in the 12th century by the Counts of Ortenburg, and the Katzenstein mansion, a cultural monument of national importance. It is also the birthplace of Slavko Avsenik, the leading exponent of Slovene ethnic music.
