Day 1 - Arrival in Les Houches
You arrive at Geneva Airport and from there take a train or a local transport to Les Houches and enjoy a leisurely walk through the town.

Day 2 - Les Houches to Les Contamines 10,5 miles | 17 km
Your day will start with an ascending walk from Les Houches to Bellevue (1,801 m). If you prefer, you can go by cable car, there you will find the amazing Tour du Mont Blanc.
Once in Bellevue, you will have two travel options: the first and most challenging, is to walk through the Chalet de Miage passing under the Bionnassay Glacier until you reach Les Contamines.
The other option is to take the route through the beautiful forests and alpine meadows through Bionnassay to Les Contamines.

Day 3 - Les Contamines to Les Chapieux 12 miles | 19 km
Leaving Les Contamines behind, start walking upwards through the Chemin Roman through the Montjoie Nature Reserve towards Col du Bonhomme.
As you climb, you will discover the most impressive views of the high peaks. After another hour of walking on rocky terrain, the Col de la Croix du Bonhomme will appear.
Then continue descending to Les Chapieux.
Les Chapieux: if there is no accommodation available at Les Chapieux, you will have your accommodation at Bourg-Saint-Maurice. We will make the corresponding arrangements so that you can have the necessary transfers between the towns.

Day 4 - Les Chapieux to Maison Vieille 14 miles | 23 km
Today you will say goodbye to unforgettable France and enter attractive Italy. If you have stayed at Les Chapieux, you can walk 5 km along the road or take the local transport to Refuge des Mottets.
Then you arrive at El Col de la Seigne located at a height of 750 m above Refuge des Mottets, and here is where you leave France for Italy.
As soon as you're in Italy, you'll be greeted with unimaginable and wonderful views that are just a taste of the stunning scenery that awaits you from here on. Descend along the trail through the high alpine meadows passing the Elisabetta refuge to Val Veni.
As you approach the huge Miage Glacier, you'll have to climb the southern slopes of the Val Veni again. You will see the steep south side of the Mont Blanc massif, formed by irregular peaks, hanging glaciers and deep waterfalls.

Today will start with a descent into the charming Italian village of Courmayeur. If the weather is fine, this route will be one of the most memorable on this trip.
Once in Courmayeur, climb to the Bertone Refuge before taking the main route around the Saxe flank, on a rolling path that will allow you to enjoy the spectacular panorama of the Mont Blanc massif and the Grandes Jorasses mountain.

Day 6 - Bonatti to La Fouly 12 miles | 19 km
The day begins with a pleasant walk from Bonatti before descending to Val Ferret, where you must start climbing the Grand Col Ferret.
Arriving at the top of the Grand Col Ferret, you will make your way for Switzerland. Afterwards, descend through cattle landscapes, green meadows and incredible alpine views that will take you to La Fouly, a typical Alpine village with a cosy atmosphere full of flowers and smell of wood.

On this day of your holiday, you will have a gentle and quiet walk that will allow you to appreciate the landscapes around you. The road through Val Ferret will give you striking views of forests and green meadows.

Day 8 - Champex to Trient 9 miles | 15 km
Today you will have two route options, either of the two you choose will take you down a descent that ends in the spectacular village of Trient.
The official route will take you via Alp Bovine through stunning pine and larch forests, interspersed with views of the pine meadows towards the charming and magical Rhone Valley.
The other option is more challenging and demanding. You'll have to take the trail through the spectacular Fenetre d'Arpette to the Trient Valley. You'll have a 2665m ascent, but every step is worth it.
Martigny: If there is no accommodation available in Trient, you will be accommodated here. Trains are available so you can travel between locations on your own.

Start your journey by ascending from Trient to reach the French border at Col de Balme (2,191 m). Once here, you will be dazzled by the imposing presence of the Mont Blanc massif, the Chamonix Valley, the Aiguilles, Mer de Glace Argentiere glaciers.
Your path will continue through Col des Posettes and Aiguillette des Posettes, with fascinating views as you descend to the Chamonix Valley in Tre le Champ.

Day 10 - Tre le Champ a Planpraz 8 miles | 13,5 km
Discover one of the best landscapes on this day of your holiday. The incredible views from the Chamonix Valley in the Mont Blanc massif will dazzle you for their indescribable beauty.
Your path begins on the path that ascends through Aiguillette de Argentiere to the Grand Balcon Sud de Aiguilles Rouges. You will arrive at the Aiguilles Rouge Nature Reserve where sightings of Ibex (mountain goat), Groundhogs and many other animals are common.
Continue climbing to Lac Blanc, the best place to enjoy a memorable picnic.
After an hour of descent, you will be at the cable car station in Le Flegere, there, you must take the 'Balcon Sud' route that crosses the mountain with stunning views of Mont Blanc as you go.

Absolutely! Each traveller has included 1 piece of luggage that we will transfer between your accommodations. It's important that this piece of luggage meets the following criterias:
- Maximum weight of 33 lbs (15 kg).
- Must be only 1 piece of luggage without any attachments or accessories.
- Should not contain valuables, fragile items, food or medications.
- Must be correctly identified (booking reference of your trip and the full name of the trip holder).
What should my physical preparation be?
This route has a medium-high difficulty with considerable ascents and descents every day. For this tour we suggest you to be an experienced walker in search of a great challenge.
If you do not exercise regularly we recommend starting by doing training walks in mountainous terrain, accompanied by cardiovascular exercise for a minimum of six months before your trip.

The nearest airport is Geneva Airport, which receives flights from all over Europe and around the world.
How far in advance should I book my trip?
We suggest you make the reservation as soon as possible as soon as you have decided the dates of your trip, as this is a highly sought-after destination and is available for only a very short season.
