Day 1 - Arrival in Burgos
Burgos is a charming city characterized by its fascinating medieval architecture that is in excellent condition. One exhibition is the imposing Holy Metropolitan Cathedral and Basilica of Santa Maria, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Other amazing places you can get to know are the Museum of Human Evolution, the Monastery of Santa Maria la Real de Las Huelgas or Burgos Castle.

Day 3 - Hornillos del Camino to Castrojeriz 12 miles | 20 km
Start the day by ascending onto a plateau, then descend into the River Bol Valley. Along the way you will find the cross of Santiago, a typical symbol on the Camino de Santiago which stands out for its cross and sword shape.
Later you will continue towards Castrojeriz, a town located on the banks of the River Odra and at the foot of a hill dominated by the ruins of a castle dating from the 9th century.

Day 4 - Castrojeriz to Fromista 14 miles | 23 km
Before leaving the Burgos region behind, you will ascend to Upper Mostelares, from where you will have stunning views. Later you will cross the River Pisuerga until you reach Tierra de Campos, a region that extends along the provinces of Palencia, Zamora, Leon and Valladolid.
Afterwards you can make a stop in Boadilla del Camino and get to know the Church of La Asuncion, built between the 15th and 16th centuries, or the Jurisdictional Gothic Roll monument.
Later you will continue your journey near the Castilla Canal, one of the most important hydraulic works in Spain, until you reach Fromista. Here, before going to rest, it is worth going to visit the Church of San Martin de Tours, erected in the second half of the 11th century.
Afterwards you can make a stop in Boadilla del Camino and get to know the Church of La Asuncion, built between the 15th and 16th centuries, or the Jurisdictional Gothic Roll monument.

Today you can decide your route to Carrion de los Condes. The first option is to go along a path parallel to the road, and the second is to walk along the banks of the River Ucieza, a tributary of the Douro basin, through Villovieco, a municipality on the eastern slopes in the province of Palencia.
Whatever your choice, the walk will be quite relaxed and you will be able to contemplate the Castilian plains.
