    Travel & Transfers

    To start your trip, you can reach Glasgow, Edinburgh or Prestwick airports. However, Glasgow is the best option from where you can take a train to Ardlui Fort William station and take a taxi to Inverarnan.

    At the end of your trip, you will need to take a train that will drop you off near Edinburgh, Glasgow or Prestwick airports. If you wish we can schedule a private transfer from Fort William at an additional cost.

    FAQs

    This walking holiday on the northern part of The West Highland Way requires a very good physical condition to be able to travel the long route distances, as in many, they include undulating terrain.

    If you're not used to an active lifestyle, you'll need to start physically preparing at least 6 months before your trip.

    We recommend that you book as soon as you are sure about your dates, as accommodation can fill up very quickly in this area. 

    Once you make your reservation we will send you all the detailed information about the specific equipment you need for this route, considering recommendations for shoes, boots, clothes and a day-to day backpack.  

    You can explore this region between spring and autumn. You'll always have an unforgettable experience. However, if you go in summer, keep in mind that you may encounter mosquitoes (midges), bear in mind however, that while you're on the move, they won't bother you.

    If you prefer, you can also use public transport or local taxis to get to your next accommodation.
