Day 1 - Arrival in Puerto del Carmen
To reach Puerto del Carmen, you can take bus line 161 from the airport. You can find all the information about schedules and routes on the IC Bus Lanzarote website.

Day 2 - From Femés to Playa Quemada 6,8 miles | 11 km
Today will take you from the village of Femés, located on the slopes of the Los Ajaches massif, along one of the most scenic routes in southern Lanzarote. To get there, you will first need to travel by bus on your own from Puerto del Carmen, taking bus line 34 to Cruce Puerto Calero, and from there, bus line 5.

Once in Femés, you will walk along traditional trails accompanied by stunning views. You will begin to ascend Pico de La Aceituna, whose summit rises 450 meters above sea level, dominating the surrounding landscape.
These ancient mountain ranges, once home to aboriginal tribes, have become an exceptional natural viewpoint. From the top, you can admire the silhouettes of Fuerteventura and Lobos, as well as the Papagayo National Park. From here, the trail continues to Pico Redondo, and after enjoying its incredible panoramas, the path begins a gradual descent toward the sea.
You will finish the walk at Playa Quemada, a peaceful spot with black sand and crystal-clear waters, where you can rest, feel the sea breeze, and admire the Atlantic horizon. The contrast between mountains and sea provides a perfect end to an unforgettable day of walking.
At the end of the day, you will have a transfer included from Playa Quemada back to Puerto del Carmen, where you will spend the night.

Day 3 - Enjoy your day along the Los Hervideros coast 5,6 miles | 9 km
Today you will experience firsthand the power of the island’s natural landscapes as you explore the Los Hervideros coast. At the start of the route, you will need to travel by bus on your own from Puerto del Carmen to La Hoya, taking bus line 161 to the town of Yaiza, and then bus line 60 to Rotonda La Hoya.

The walk begins by passing the Janubio Lagoon, an impressive salt flats area surrounded by a unique volcanic landscape. Along the route, you will also pass Playa de Montaña Bermeja, with its dark sands and Atlantic views, and Punta de Puerto Remedio, offering spectacular coastal panoramas.
The day also includes two highlight spots: Charco Verde, a green lagoon surrounded by cliffs, and Los Hervideros, where waves crash against lava formations, creating an unforgettable natural spectacle.
At the end of the route, you will have a transfer included from El Golfo back to Puerto del Carmen.

Day 4 - Circular route around Caldera Blanca Volcano 6,8 miles | 11 km
The route takes you into the Los Volcanes Natural Park, on the edge of Timanfaya National Park, as independent walking inside Timanfaya is not allowed due to its protected status.
At the start of the route, you will have a transfer included from Puerto del Carmen to Mancha Blanca, where the walk begins. From Mancha Blanca, the journey toward Caldera Blanca immediately immerses you in a spectacular environment, passing through black lava fields and completely volcanic landscapes.
The effort is quickly rewarded with unique views, as you gradually ascend to the Caldera Blanca crater, which is approximately 1.2 km in diameter and rises to just over 400 meters above sea level. From there, on one side you can admire the fire mountains of Timanfaya, and on the other, the lava fields stretching toward the Atlantic.
At the end of today’s route, you will need to travel on your own from Mancha Blanca to Costa Teguise. First, take bus line 52 to reach Arrecife, and from there, bus line 3.

Day 5 - From Haría to Órzola 7,5 miles | 12 km
Today you will enjoy a walk along the GR 131, one of Lanzarote’s most iconic trails, where the interior paths will surprise you with a variety of landscapes.
You will start in Haría, the picturesque village located in the “Valley of a Thousand Palms”, known for its peaceful atmosphere and rural scenery, after a transfer included from Costa Teguise.
The route takes you along natural paths to Órzola, passing through agricultural areas, palm groves, and volcanic landscapes that showcase the island’s unique geology, until reaching the northern coast with sea views.
At the end of the route in Órzola, you will have a transfer included back to Costa Teguise, where you will spend the night.

Day 6 - Enjoy your day on La Graciosa 5,9 miles | 9,5 km
Today you will discover the island of La Graciosa, a peaceful island with virtually no vehicles, which is part of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park.
You will start with a transfer included from Costa Teguise to Órzola, a town located at the northern tip of Lanzarote. From there, you will take an included ferry to Caleta del Sebo, the port of La Graciosa.
Starting from Caleta del Sebo, you will enjoy unique views of La Graciosa’s coast, passing areas such as Playa de los Franceses and reaching Playa de La Cocina, located at the foot of Montaña Amarilla, an inactive volcano with ochre tones that contrast beautifully with the blue Atlantic.
At the end of the route, you will have an included ferry transfer from Caleta del Sebo back to Órzola. From there, a transfer included will take you back to Costa Teguise, where you will spend the night.

Day 7 - From Haría to Caleta de Famara 7,5 miles | 12 km
Today combines inland landscapes, natural viewpoints, and the impressive Atlantic coast. At the start of the route, you will have a transfer included from Costa Teguise to Haría, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Palms”, where the walk begins.
The route gradually ascends along volcanic trails toward Montaña Ganada, where you will begin to enjoy expansive panoramas of the surroundings. The hike continues through the Valle de Malpaso, a striking area known for its contrasting colors and sense of isolation, offering a unique perspective of Lanzarote’s landscape.
As you progress, you will reach a truly impressive natural viewpoint, with privileged views of Risco de Famara and the Atlantic Ocean. From this point, the trail descends toward the coast, providing unforgettable panoramas along the way.
The walk ends in Caleta de Famara, a charming fishing village located next to a long golden sandy beach, dominated by the majestic cliffs of Risco. From there, you can return to Costa Teguise by taking bus line 31 or 33.

What is the best time of year to do this trip?
The trip is available year-round, thanks to the mild climate, although the best times for walking are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when temperatures are pleasant and the trails can be enjoyed more comfortably.
In particular, May and October are ideal months to explore the island’s diverse landscapes on foot, with mild days and less intense heat. On the other hand, the summer months (July and August) can be hotter for hiking, and in winter, although the climate is generally mild even in December and January, the high mountain areas can be cooler and may require extra preparation.
