Known as "La Isla Bonita" and named as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, La Palma is an island in the Canary Islands that nature lovers cannot miss. Walking around it and getting to know its spectacular gorges, forests, towering cliffs and coastlines is very comfortable, due to its large network of trails.

Your tour through this island will be full of contrasts: in the north you will find its gorges and lush vegetation, and in the central area, the volcanic formations of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, where you will find one of the largest erosion craters on earth.

You can also visit the natural amphitheatre of the Gulf Valley, located at an altitude of 2,500 metres.

    Thanks to its spring-like climate, you can go walking in La Palma during any time of the year. During the summer (June to August), the weather is hotter, so it is very important that you maintain good hydration and sun protection.

    To do this route, you will need walking shoes and boots, waterproof and quick drying clothing, warm clothes; and if you travel in summer, don't forget to pack hats, sunscreen and other items that allow you to protect yourself from the sun and hydrate.

    This route is moderately difficult. The walks you will take between accommodation will last between 3 and 6 hours, so you must have a good level of physical fitness.
    Keep in mind that you'll walk through rocky terrain, on steep trails and at high altitudes.
