What is the best time of year to do this trip?
The trip is available year-round thanks to the mild climate, although the best times for hiking are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when temperatures are pleasant and the trails are more comfortable to enjoy.
In particular, May and October are ideal months to explore the island’s different landscapes on foot, with mild days and less intense heat. In contrast, the summer months (July and August) can be quite hot for hiking, while in winter—even though the climate is generally mild in December and January—the higher mountain areas can feel cooler and may require better preparation.
