    FAQs

Is luggage transfer included? What are the luggage requirements?
Absolutely! Each traveller has included 1 piece of luggage that we will transfer between your accommodations. It's important that this piece of luggage meets the following criterias:
    • Maximum weight of 33 lbs (15 kg).
    • Must be only 1 piece of luggage without any attachments or accessories.
    • Should not contain valuables, fragile items, food or medications.
    • Must be correctly identified (booking reference of your trip and the full name of the trip holder).
The approximate luggage delivery time will be at 4:00 PM.
What should my physical preparation be?
The Tour du Mont Blanc is a difficult route with several ascents and descents every day, ideal for experienced walkers. If you currently don't have an active lifestyle or want to better prepare for this route, we suggest that you regularly run 5 km a day, walk in mountainous terrain and do cardiovascular exercise, at least six months before starting this route. We recommend that you don't do too much exercise however, as you may become overloaded by the start date of your holiday. Rest between days so you can enjoy this tour to the fullest.
How far in advance should I book my trip?
We recommend that you book as soon as you are sure about your dates, as accommodation can fill up very quickly in this area.
What if I can't walk on a stage?
In some sections you can use public transport to go to the next stage.  In addition, we will give you an information pack before your departure, and we will help you as much as possible when you can't go finish a stage.
What is the best time of year to travel?
The Tour du Mont Blanc can be done from the beginning of July to the beginning of September. August is the most popular month, because the last week is the Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc race, so we suggest you avoid these dates as there will be a lot of tourists and accommodation may be scarce.  If you decide to go in September, you should prepare for long walks every day, because public transportation in the area is limited.
What equipment do I need to bring?
Once you make your reservation we will send you all the detailed information about the specific equipment you need for this route, considering recommendations for shoes, boots, clothes and a day-to day backpack.
