Day 1 - Arrival in Malpica
Today you will arrive in Malpica, the starting point of the Lighthouse Way. This town has a past linked to its fishing port. We suggest you visit it to watch the “redeiras” fixing the nets and riggings and see the process of unloading sardine and mackerel from the boats.

Day 2 - Malpica to Ninons 14 miles | 22 km
You will begin the fascinating Ruta de los Faros (The Lighthouse Way) at the smallest lighthouse, located at the entrance to the Port of Malpica. From there, you will pass through six charming beaches and face some unevenness, until you reach Ninons Beach. During the day, you will see the Sisargas Islands with its lighthouse, as well as the famous lighthouse at Punta Nariga.
At the end of your tour in Ninons, we will take you back to your accommodation in Malpica.

Day 3 - Ninons to Ponteceso 16 miles | 26 km
Today we will take you back to Ninons to continue your journey. The route will be more demanding than yesterday and, in turn, will delight you with exceptional landscapes that will make you forget tiredness.
Start by crossing lonely coves that will take you to the Cape Roncudo cliffs and, once there, take a moment to enjoy this impressive lighthouse. Afterwards, continue through the interior of the Corme-Laxe estuary, until you reach the Praia de Barra sand dunes, which will be the last stunning landscape of the day.
Your route today ends in Ponteceso, a beautiful village famous for its landscapes and gastronomy. From this stage, you can find new pilgrims who start the Lighthouse Way from Ponteceso.
Ascent: 812m (2,664ft) / Descent: 876m (2,874ft)

Day 4 - Ponteceso to Laxe 15,5 miles | 25 km
Surrounded by the perfume of pine trees, your walk will take you through the forest interior beside the River Anllons estuary, where you will be able to see a lot of bird species. It continues to the old village of Castro to Cibda and reaches the megalith of Dolmen Dombate, whose tomb dates back to the 3rd century BC.
Enjoy the beautiful views of Lourido Castle just before the beautiful beaches that prepare the entrance to the important fishing and commercial port of Laxe. There we recommend you visit Rua Real, the Casa do Arco and the Church of Santiago de Laxe.

Day 5 - Laxe to Arou 11 miles | 18 km
Start the day exploring the picturesque Galician village of Laxe and the Church of Santa Maria de Atalaya.
Later continue your walk to the Lighthouse at Laxe, the Furna de Espuma and Traba Beach. Don't miss the walk along Playa de los Cristales and a delicious plate of seafood in Soesto.
Before reaching Arou, where you will spend the night, walk along a spectacular stretch of rocks to Camelle, where you can visit “The Museum of Man”, an area with fascinating outdoor sculptures that tell the story of the mysterious German sculptor who inhabited this place as a hermit.

Day 6 - Arou to Camariñas 14 miles | 22 km
This day is made for enjoying one of the most impressive sections of the walk looking over the magnificent Atlantic coast, passing along the Costa da Morte which is known for being one of the wildest in Spain.
You will pass the English Cemetery, a mythical resting place for the victims of the shipwreck of the cruise ship “Serpent”, which took place in 1890.
Before you reach Cabo Vilan – the most emblematic cape on the route – you'll be amazed by the incredible views from the Monte Blanco dunes. This place is a spectacular place where you can take your photographs. Follow the coastal route to the charming fishing port of Camariñas, a magical place where fishing is a lifestyle, and lobsters and crabs are the order of the day.

Day 7 - Camariñas to Muxia 18 miles | 29 km
If you prefer to shorten the route today, you can request an optional taxi to travel the first 10 km.
This is the longest stage of the Camino, but it is also completely flat. Forests, river estuaries, beautiful windmills, quiet sandy beaches, monuments and small villages such as Tasarano, Dor and Allo will accompany your route on today's walk.
Returning to the coast, before descending to the Punta da Barca and Muxia Lighthouses, do not forget to climb to the summit of Monte Corpino and appreciate the beautiful panoramic views from the Bell Tower.
Muxia is a must for the magical Virxe da Barca Sanctuary, one of the most important seafaring temples in Galicia, where you can relax and watch a spectacular sunset.
Ascent: 344m (1,129ft) / Descent: 343m (1,125ft)
This is the longest stage of the Camino, but it is also completely flat. Forests, river estuaries, beautiful windmills, quiet sandy beaches, monuments and small villages such as Tasarano, Dor and Allo will accompany your route on today's walk.

Day 8 - Muxia to Lires 17 miles | 28 km
Today is a day of challenges because of the long walk and the large number of steep paths. But it's all worth it because the reward will be the beautiful views of the white sandy beaches and the blue of the Atlantic Ocean in the background. When you arrive at the Tourinan Lighthouse, you will be able to observe the route from the most westerly point of Galicia and peninsular Spain and then continue along the beach of Nemina to the village of Lires.

Today, you will reach the "end of the world"! Today's walk will take you along the beach of O Rostro and the diverse cliffs of Mexadoira and Cabo da Nave, and on to Cape Finisterre, known for being the final destination of many of the people who follow the Camino de Santiago.
With the sound of the waves, passing over the cliffs of Punta Besugueira and Punta del Rostro, Cape Finisterre will be a perfect end to the Camino de Santiago. Reaching Finisterre is the mission that many pilgrims plan, in order to have a grand finale and walk until they can't walk any more.

Absolutely! Each traveller has included 1 piece of luggage that we will transfer between your accommodations. It's important that this piece of luggage meets the following criterias:
- Maximum weight of 45 lbs (20 kg).
- Must be only 1 piece of luggage without any attachments or accessories.
- Should not contain valuables, fragile items, food or medications.

How far in advance do I need to make my reservation?
We recommend that you book as soon as you are sure about your dates, as accommodation can fill up very quickly in this area.
How fit do I need to be?
It is a route considered to be of moderate to high-rated difficulty and an average walk of 24 km can be expected daily, on irregular routes and high cliff trails, so it is not recommended for people with vertigo. In addition, there are certain sections that can be more exhausting than others because the route crosses sand.
