The Great Glen Way route will take you for 127 km along trails and numerous lakes following the Caledonian Canal. This iconic route, which crosses the famous Scottish Highlands, starts from the east at Fort William, popular with climbers and walkers for its proximity to Ben Nevis, and ends at the north-west in Inverness, the northernmost city in the UK, and capital of the Highlands.

    Travel & Transfers

    We recommend starting your trip in Inverness, where you can take a taxi to Fort Augustus from the airport or head to the city centre (15 minutes) by bus.

    It is also possible to get from Glasgow to Inverness by taking a bus or taking a charming train journey.

    For your return trip, you can head to Inverness Airport or take a train or bus to Glasgow.
