  • Travel on the road through Ireland's highest mountain pass: The Connor Pass.

    Travel & Transfers

To get by plane to the city of Tralee, the best option is Kerry Airport, located in the county of the same name. Then take a bus to and from Tralee.

You can also get to Cork Airport and from there take a bus, a 20-minute journey, to Cork Kent Train Station, and then, you'll need to take another train to Tralee.

Other options include: flying to Shannon Airport or Dublin Airport and from both air terminals, where you must take a bus to Tralee. However, with these options, the route is longer.

For your return from Tralee, you can take a bus to Kerry Airport. Another alternative is to return to Cork Kent Station where you can take a bus to Cork Airport.

In case you need to return to Shannon or Dublin Airport, you will need to get to Tralee and take a bus from there.

Absolutely! Each traveller has included 1 piece of luggage that we will transfer between your accommodations. It's important that this piece of luggage meets the following criterias:

    • Maximum weight of 45 lbs (20 kg).
    • Must be only 1 piece of luggage without any attachments or accessories.
    • Should not contain valuables, fragile items, food or medications.
    • Must be correctly identified (booking reference of your trip and the full name of the trip holder).

This route is classified as moderate. On most days there are walks of 6 to 8 hours and sometimes there are some more crowded sections where you should take care with traffic.

The altitude on the routes along the Dingle Way ranges from 350 to 650 metres, making it a relatively simple route for experienced walkers.

You can complete the route from March to October. Between April and May is the most popular time, due to the good weather. If you start the route in early October, you can enjoy the Dingle Food Festival over four days.

Ireland's climate is mainly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, as a result, it has no extreme temperatures as found in other countries of similar latitudes. The average temperature in Ireland is around 10ºC.

The summer months are high season, thanks to long sunny afternoons, outdoor lunches on cafe terraces or recurring festivals. In spring, the flowering season is spectacular and in autumn you will love the copper-coloured leaves that envelop the peninsula.

We recommend that you book as soon as you are sure about your dates, as accommodation can fill up very quickly in this area.

Once you make your reservation we will send you all the detailed information about the specific equipment you need for this route, considering recommendations for shoes, boots, clothes and a day-to day backpack.

This route is ideal for walkers who enjoy touring villages full of history and traditions. If you like exploring natural, spectacular landscapes and remote villages in Europe, you'll love this route.

The administration was good before our trip and our questions were answered quickly. The accommodation was also good. We had no problems with the baggage transfer too.
Our group of 5 had a really great experience with orbis ways. Our contact person was helpful via email and via phone. Great accommodations and each host was helpful and generous with kindness.
I travelled last week to Madeira with Orbis Ways and it has been an amazing experience. Accommodations were exceptional, and everything was explained very well, apart from that the Island is amazing, must be seen at least once in a lifetime. Dinners were very good, with local fresh homemade food! Very recomending!!!
Excellent trip. Excellent communication with Orbis. Lovely accommodations. Luggage transfer was always done well and the overall trip was excellent. I cannot wait to do another walk in 2023 and will use Orbis ways 100%.
Few days ago I finished Camino Francés. Orbis Ways planned the trip for me, arranged my routes and accommodations as well as luggage transfers. Everything went smoothly from the beginning in St Jean Pied du Port until the end in Santiago. Rooms with private bathrooms that they booked for me were comfortable and clean and luggage transfers underwent without mistakes. My daily routes were well planned. In 34 days I had only two problematic situations with accommodations and their 24 hours assistance team solved them in few minutes. I enjoyed every minute of my Way. I am planning to return and do some other route - Norte and Portugués gor sure. Orbis Ways will be my choice again.
