Overview

Your holiday starts at the glacial Lake Bled, where you will begin the ascent for your high mountain route through the beautiful Triglav National Park, which stretches across the eastern part of the Julian Alps.

This tour will surprise you with beautiful crystal clear waters, alpine meadows and colourful wooded trails, at heights of up to 2,500 metres.

You will walk under the summit of Triglav, slovenia's highest peak, the Valley of the Lakes, the Karawanken limestone mountain range and Lake Zeleno Jezero.

    Travel & Transfers

    To start your holiday, we recommend flying to Ljubljana Airport, to which several low-cost airlines fly. From there you can take a taxi or private transfer to Bled. Another option will be to take a bus to Ljubljana, where you take the connection on to Bled.

    At the end of the route, you can head to Ljubljana Airport, taking a taxi, private transfer or bus in Bled.

    FAQs

    The best time to complete this route is summer (between June and September), when you have a good climate and the highest alpine trails are clear of snow.

    This route has a level of medium-high difficulty, with walks between 7 and 18.5 km, it has steep and bordered ascents and descents, so you must have walking experience and be in good physical condition.

    Once you make your reservation we will send you all the detailed information about the specific equipment you need for this route, considering recommendations for shoes, boots, clothes and a day-to day backpack.

    Yes, it's included. We will transfer the luggage between each accommodation according to your itinerary. Each person can take a suitcase up to 20 kg (45 lbs).

    I travelled last week to Madeira with Orbis Ways and it has been an amazing experience.     Few days ago I finished Camino Francés. Orbis Ways planned the trip for me, arranged my routes and accommodations as well as luggage transfers. Everything went smoothly from the beginning in St Jean Pied du Port until the end in Santiago. Rooms with private bathrooms that they booked for me were comfortable and clean and luggage transfers underwent without mistakes. My daily routes were well planned. In 34 days I had only two problematic situations with accommodations and their 24 hours assistance team solved them in few minutes. I enjoyed every minute of my Way.
