Start this adventure at Ellington, known for having had the last marine mining coal mine in the UK and touring unique and diverse landscapes such as Druridge Bay, Rumbling Kern Cove and St Cuthbert's Way.
In the distance, you will see the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, built in 1313, you will see Seahouses, an active and colourful fishing port known as the gateway to the Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle, one of the most emblematic in England, which rises to 150 feet above the coast.

Day 1 - Arrival in Ellington
Start your trip in Newcastle, you can get directly to your airport or head by train from London or Manchester. The bus ride from Newcastle to Ellington takes 45 minutes.

Day 2 - Ellington to Warkworth 10,7 miles I 17,2 km
You will start the day with a self-arranged transfer fromEllington or Morpeth to Cresswell, where you will begin the walk through the beautiful landscape of Druridge Bay, an extensive sandy path where you can enjoy a quiet route to the edge of the sea, accompanied by a variety of seabirds that inhabit the Druridge Bay Country Park Nature Reserve.
You'll pass Amble, located by the River Coquet, before reaching the ancient village of Warkworth, with two outstanding buildings at each end: Warkworth Castle and St. Lawrence Church.

Day 3 - Warkworth to Craster 13 miles I 21 km
The first fishing village you will find during this day will be Alnmouth, located along the River Aln estuary and surrounded by fields in various colours that make the landscape a unique one.
The path will continue along to Boulmer, with a large number of houses located on the coast. It is home to the Fishing Boat Inn, perfect for cooling off a little before continuing the walk to Craster, where you can enjoy delicious food and typical local dishes such as smoked herring.
Craster is also home to Rumbling Kern Cove, which was a haven for whisky smugglers and is now a renowned beach in the area.

Day 4 - Craster to Bamburgh 15 miles I 24,1 km
On the first section of this walk, you can see the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, built in 1313. Continue along Beadnell Bay, a crescent-shaped beach with a pier where salmon and sea trout are fished.
You will visit Seahouses, a busy and colourful fishing port known as the gateway to the Farne Islands. The route ends in Bamburgh, with one of England's most iconic castles, 150 feet above the coast and with beautiful views over the sea.

Head to Belford, surrounded by grazing lands and climbing rocks. You'll walk a stretch along St Cuthbert's Way, named after a 7th-century saint and a path linking the borders between Scotland and England.

The path will take you along cliffs with beautiful views to your destination, the seaside town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, located in the north of Northumberland and surrounded by walls that were built to prevent the Scots from invading the city.
