Bicycle Insurance

1. Basic coverage included

All our bicycles include basic insurance coverage linked to the rental service.

This coverage is structured through insurance policies involving:

• Inscap Advisors GmbH (policy management and issuance)
• Eir Försäkring (insurance provider)
• Commercial brand SEGURABICI

These entities are listed in the insurance documentation as authorized by the DGSFP.

Included coverage

• Third-Party Liability (bike user) with a coverage limit of up to €100,000
• Emergency medical expenses up to €1,500
• Bike assistance: if the bicycle cannot continue due to a mechanical breakdown, the customer will be transported to a nearby workshop or accommodation
• Customer assistance: in case the customer becomes unwell due to illness or injury, they will be transported to a nearby medical center
• It is important to note that emergency transport does not include on-site repair by the insurer

2. Comprehensive insurance (full coverage)

An optional comprehensive insurance policy is also available, likewise managed through policies involving:

• Inscap Advisors GmbH
• Eir Försäkring
• Commercial brand HOOMU

Included coverage

• Material damage to the bicycle due to falls, impacts, or accidents
• Robbery with violence

Definition of robbery with violence

Robbery with violence will be considered theft carried out through:

• Mugging or physical violence against the customer
• Forced entry into the premises where the bicycle is stored
• Breaking or forcing a lock or security system

Exclusions

• Theft
• Loss or negligence
• Disappearance without signs of violence
• Improper use of the equipment

Essential requirement

For coverage validation, a police report must be provided, stating the facts and evidence of violence or forced entry.

3. Nature of the coverage

It is important to highlight that:

• The insurance policies are contracted by the service provider
• Coverage applies to the rented bicycle (insured asset)
• It is not a personal insurance policy for the customer

The customer uses equipment that has associated coverage, but they are not the policyholder of an individual insurance contract.
