Follow this route on trails through forests and along roads beside the Caledonian Canal that connects numerous lakes. With this path, you will have the possibility to visit the famous Loch Ness, where fans continue in search of the legendary monster.

You can appreciate the fantastic engineering work, Neptune's Staircase, built by Thomas Telford, which with 8 locks comes to raise boats that pass through the canal by almost 20 metres.

  • Get to know the Great Glen's own fauna: ospreys, royal eagles, martens and deer are some of the animals you can find.
  • Stop in Laggan, a village surrounded by the Monadhliath and Grampian mountains.
