We want to resolve all your doubts so that you live an unforgettable experience. Below, you will be able to see the answers to the most frequently asked questions from our customers, but if you have any other questions, remember that we are available to answer all your queries.

Preparation and equipment

We suggest that you wear light, comfortable and quick-drying clothing; also a pair of shoes suitable for walking (if it is winter season, better with a pair of boots), another pair of shoes to rest in, and a waterproof jacket and trousers that do not take up much space. We also suggest you carry a couple of trekking poles, as they will be of great help during the days with slopes.

Depending on the season when doing the route, these items may vary. Once you make your reservation, we will send you an information dossier about your trip in which you will have a list included with all the detailed information so that you know exactly what walking equipment you should bring along.

In Orbis Ways we have several options of Walking and Camino de Santiago holidays with different levels of difficulty. On the pages of each one of them, you can find details about the distances and types of landscapes that you will encounter, as well as the indications about what type of physical preparation is required to complete them.

Anyway, for any route we recommend preparation for at least one month previously that consists of a daily walk of between 10 to 20 minutes, and gradually increasing that length of time until reaching 40 or 60 minutes.

Booking with Orbis Ways

Yes, with Orbis Ways you have the baggage transfer service between stages included, so we will take your backpack from one accommodation to another in order that you only worry about walking. Each person may carry a maximum of 1 pack of 20 kg. (45 lbs.).

For this reason, we suggest you carry a second, smaller backpack that you can carry daily, to carry water, sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, documents, along with some food and cash.

Since on certain dates the occupancy of the accommodation in our different destinations is very high, and depending on whether it is high season or there are local festivities, we suggest that you make the reservation as soon as possible, when you have decided your travel dates. This will allow us to offer you the best accommodation options.

In any case, if we have to locate you in alternative accommodation, it will always be of the same category or higher.

If you have a physical difficulty to stop your travel or finish any of the stages, on many of the routes, you will have the option to take public transport or a taxi to go to your next accommodation. Otherwise, please call us and we will do our best to help you organise a transfer for you.
