    Travel & Transfers

Geneva Airport is the most recommended to arrive in the Chamonix Valley. From there you can take a train or private transport.

At the end of your holiday, you can return by train or private transport to Geneva Airport, or to any city in France.

During this walk, you will make considerable ascents and descents, so it is advisable that you be an experienced walker.

If you don't currently lead an active lifestyle, we suggest walking through mountainous terrain and performing cardiovascular activity, for at least 6 months before the holiday.

We suggest you make your reservation as soon as possible, as soon as you have decided your travel dates, as this destination is very popular and the bookings in accommodation are sold out quickly.

You will find several sections of the tour that can be done on public transport. There are others that can be complex to skip, due to the time they take or the high costs of transportation.

The tour season runs from early July to mid-September. If you travel during these months, you should be prepared to walk long distances every day. In the itinerary description you can review the daily distances with and without possible shortcuts.

Public transport in the area is limited during the month of September, therefore certain 'shortcut' options will not be available.

We recommend you to avoid taking the holiday in the last weekend of August, as Chamonix hosts the famous Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc race, which makes the region very busy and most accommodation gets booked early.

The tour of this route is perfect if you want to explore the famous Tour du Mont Blanc walk as part of a long trip in France or Europe, if you have an extensive and free weekend, or if you have interest in the mountains, national parks and alpine walking.

Yes, it's included. We will transfer the luggage between each accommodation according to your itinerary. Each person can take a suitcase up to 20 kg (45 lbs).

The Tour du Mont Blanc is suitable for solo walkers with experience and confidence in doing so on alpine terrain. You must be sure you can walk alone on difficult terrain.

While this is a challenge, on most stretches you'll meet other walkers, so you can do it even if you're alone.
