    Travel & Transfers

Geneva Airport is the best way to reach the Chamonix Valley. From here you can take a train to Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet, but the best option is to book private transport.

By road you can take the A40-E25 Mont Blanc-Chamonix motorway and take the Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet exit.

For your return, you can again take reserved transport to Geneva Airport. If you want to travel to another city in France, Chamonix has a train station from where you can do so.

    FAQs

The Tour du Mont Blanc is a difficult route with several ascents and descents every day, ideal for experienced walkers.

If you currently don't have an active lifestyle or want to better prepare for this route, we suggest that you regularly run 5 km a day, walk in mountainous terrain and do cardiovascular exercise, at least six months before starting this route.

We recommend that you don't do too much exercise however, as you may become overloaded by the start date of your holiday. Rest between days so you can enjoy this tour to the fullest.

We recommend that you book as soon as you are sure about your dates, as accommodation can fill up very quickly in this area.

In some sections you can use public transport to go to the next stage.

In addition, we will give you an information pack before your departure, and we will help you as much as possible when you can't go finish a stage.

The Tour du Mont Blanc can be done from the beginning of July to the beginning of September.

August is the most popular month, because the last week is the Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc race, so we suggest you avoid these dates as there will be a lot of tourists and accommodation may be scarce.

If you decide to go in September, you should prepare for long walks every day, because public transportation in the area is limited.

Once you make your reservation we will send you all the detailed information about the specific equipment you need for this route, considering recommendations for shoes, boots, clothes and a day-to day backpack.

Yes, it's included. We will transfer the luggage between each accommodation according to your itinerary. Each person can take a suitcase up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
