Day 1 - Arrival in Calella de Palafrugell
This charming walking route through Catalonia will start in Calella de Palafrugell, a beautiful fishing village on the Costa Brava that has been awarded the "Pueblo con encanto" (Charming Village) seal by the Catalan Tourism Agency, which qualifies it as a place with a special beauty that makes its visitors fall in love with it.

Day 2 - From Calella de Palafrugell to La Bisbal 11 miles | 17 km
You will start with a 20-minute walk to Mont-Ras, being there you can choose between two routes that will take you through the Gavarres Hills, where you will visit three dolmens with incredible views over Begur and the Medes Islands, and then descend to the medieval villages of Fonteta and Vulpellac.

After enjoying your breakfast, you will start a quiet walk through the Ampurdan Plain, until you reach Peratallada, one of the best preserved medieval villages in Spain, with beautiful restored arches and shaded squares.
The walk will continue through fields with vibrant sunflowers until you reach Pals, a charming ancient village where you can get to know its Romanesque church. The final stretch will be through the pine forest to your hotel, located in the old town of Begur.

Begur is one of the trendy towns in Catalonia, being located on top of a hill you can enjoy a beautiful view, while you walk through its beautiful, narrow streets, perfect to explore and appreciate its details. You can't miss its 11th-century castle.
Just 10 minutes by bus (service available from June to September), or by taxi, you can be on the coast, where there are four beautiful coves of fine sand: Sa Riera, Aiguafreda, Sa Tuna and Aiguablava. If you want to take a little more challenging walk, we will give you all the details of a circular walk through all the favourite places along the coast.

On your way to Llafranc, you will travel the coastal path, passing through rocky promontories and elegant resorts, in addition, you can have a spectacular view from the San Sebastian Lighthouse.

To get to the starting point of this walking route in Catalonia, the best option is to take a train to Girona from Barcelona, then take the railway from Girona to Flaca. There, you will find your transfer to the first hotel on your tour, in Calella de Palafrugell. This latter journey takes 30 minutes.
When you finish your trip you will have a transfer included that will take you back to the station in Flaca so that you take the train to Girona and then from Girona you transfer to Barcelona.
