Overview

This route along the Camino de Santiago Portugues will take you from Porto, one of the most consecrated destinations in Western Europe, to Tui, a city where religious buildings such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Tui stand out, with the appearance of a medieval fortress.

You will enjoy charming walks as you walk through forests, coastal trails, cities and towns that make this stretch full of great contrasts and emotions.

The journey that you will follow when leaving Porto will take you to Galicia, an autonomous community in north-western Spain, where in addition to its cultural and architectural richness, you can enjoy the excellent gastronomic range to be found in this region, where seafood such as langoustines, mussels, king scallops, queen scallops and lobsters all stand out.

  • Start your journey in Portugal and end it in Spain
  • Tour the centre of Porto, listed as a World Heritage Site
  • Visit Barcelos, a city known for being full of colour and culture
