The Camino Primitivo to Santiago is an emblematic route, not only for the places it passes through, but also for its excellent signage, which allows walkers to travel with all the necessary information to fully enjoy the routes.

This section starts in Oviedo, capital of the Principality of Asturias, where you will find pre-Romanesque buildings and get to know tourist sites such as the Plaza de Alfonso II.

You will cross valleys, mountains and historic areas, passing through Salas, Pola de Allande, Grandas de Salime and Lugo.

    You can start this route by arriving at Asturias Airport, and then take a train to Oviedo.

    If you start your trip from outside Europe, you can fly to London or Madrid, from where you can travel by plane, train or bus to Oviedo.

    At the end of your trip you can head to Santiago de Compostela Airport by taking a bus from the centre of Lugo.
