Explore this stretch of the Camino Portugues, the second busiest route, starting in the town of Tui, located on the banks of the flowing River Minho. Access Galicia over the international bridge that links Valenca (Portugal) and Tui (Spain). 

Tour the small rural villages and their architectural and historical heritage, then cross the province of Pontevedra from south to north, passing through O Porrino, Arcade, Pontevedra, Caldas de Reis and Padron. Admire the spectacular panoramic views of the Vigo and Pontevedra estuaries, before arriving in Santiago de Compostela.

    The nearest option to arrive is Vigo-Peinador Airport, 9 km from the centre of Vigo by bus. Then arrive at Tui on a direct train or take a bus.

    Another option is to take a train to Guillarei and then a bus to Tui.

    For the return from Santiago de Compostela, take a bus or taxi to the city’s airport.

    We recommend preparing weeks before starting the route with different cardiovascular exercises, daily walks or walking in arid and wooded terrain, mainly.

    This route has some demanding ascents and descents, and with daily walks between 11 and 24 km on average.

    The pilgrim's credential can be found upon arrival at your first accommodation.

    This credential must be stamped in churches, restaurants and hotels during your journey on the Camino de Santiago. At the end of the trip in the city of Santiago, you can obtain the Compostela that certifies you as a pilgrim.
