    Travel & Transfers

    The best option is to arrive by plane at Santiago de Compostela Airport and from there take a direct bus to Sarria.  

    By train you can travel from Lugo in just 30 minutes; from Madrid, by a direct connection from Chamartin station with a travel time of approximately 6 hours; or from Barcelona, on a direct link (or with a transfer in Monforte de Lemos) and a duration of about 12 hours.

    For the return from Santiago de Compostela, take a bus or taxi to the city airport.

    This route is considered of low-level difficulty, amid frequent and sometimes demanding ascents and descents, between forests, streams and meadows with uneven ground during your walks, averaging between 9 and 17 km per day.  

    For this reason, we recommend preparing yourself weeks before starting the route with different cardiovascular exercises or daily walks.

    We recommend you take this walking holiday in spring or autumn. However, it is available also from February to November.

    We recommend that you book as soon as you are sure about your dates, as accommodation can fill up very quickly in this area.

    Once you make your reservation we will send you all the detailed information about the specific equipment you need for this route, considering recommendations for shoes, boots, clothes and a day-to day backpack.

    Yes, it's included. We will transfer the luggage between each accommodation according to your itinerary. Each person can take a suitcase up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
