Day 1 - Arrival in Roncesvalles
Roncesvalles, a charming village located in the middle of the mountains, will be the starting point of this unforgettable tour on the Camino Frances, one of the most popular sections on the Camino de Santiago.
Here you will have many fascinating places to know, such as the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa Maria, a Gothic-style construction that was erected under the command of King Sancho VII "the Strong".

Day 2 - Roncesvalles to Zubiri 12,4 miles | 20 km
This day will not be very demanding, because most of the time you will walk over flat terrain and cross beautiful forests.
The walk begins in the Sorginaritzaga Forest (or Robledal de las Brujas), named after famous covens in the 16th century.
Later you will ascend to Alto de Mezquiriz, with a height of 920 m, and Alto de Erro, at 800 m.
Then you will descend into Zubiri, the capital of the Esteribar Valley, a place located in a privileged and fascinating natural environment.
Upon arrival you will find the beautiful Puente de la Rabia bridge, a medieval passage over the River Arga.
Ascent: 217m (712ft) / Descent: 633m (2,077ft)

Today you can choose between two paths to reach your destination: follow the pilgrim route, away from the River Arga, to visit Larrasoana, a small village where you can get to know the Church of San Nicolas de Bari, or continue along the banks of the tributary until you reach Pamplona, capital of Navarra, famous for its traditional and world-famous San Fermin festivals.
This is a historic and culturally rich city that you can't miss. Discover its impressive walls or visit the Plaza del Castillo, a fantastic place surrounded by constructions dating back to the 18th century and pleasant cafes, including Cafe Iruna, renowned for having as a client, the famous American writer and journalist Ernest Hemingway.

Day 4 - Pamplona to Puente la Reina 14,3 miles | 23 km
The day will begin with an ascent to the Alto del Perdon, a mountain range with an altitude of 770 metres. From there you will have incredible views of Pamplona and its valley, you can also get to know the "Monumento al Camino", a series of sculptures that honour pilgrims from different eras.
Later you will arrive at Puente la Reina, a town named after the Romanesque-style bridge that is located at the entrance, which was sent to be built in the 11th century, by Queen Dona Mayor so that pilgrims could cross the River Arga.
In this town, which is also famous for being the place where you will find two main paths of the Camino de Santiago, you can also contemplate the medieval buildings and taste its traditional gastronomy.

Today's tour will be easier than yesterday's. After leaving Puente la Reina behind, you will enter the olive groves and fields of crops, and later pass through vineyards.
Later you will make a stop in Cirauqui, a village located in the middle of the pilgrim's route, on top of a hill, which is characterized by its constructions around the Gothic church of San Roman.
Then you will continue your way along the well-conserved Roman road until you reach Estella, a charming medieval town that houses countless palaces, churches and convents.
Ascent: 352m (1,155ft) / Descent: 272m (892ft)

Gradually, you will enter the territories of La Rioja and encounter the imposing Clavijo Castle, located on top of an immense rock and surrounded by fascinating landscapes, where, according to legend, Santiago the Apostle led the Christian troops to defeat the Muslim army.
The walk will be characterized by several ascents and descents. In Viana you can rest near the Chapel of La Virgen de las Cuevas.
Later, you will arrive at a beautiful stone bridge that crosses the River Ebro, the second longest river in Spain, which will welcome you to Logrono, a city that you will love at first sight.
Ascent: 335m (1,099ft) / Descent: 394m (1,293ft)
Gradually, you will enter the territories of La Rioja and encounter the imposing Clavijo Castle, located on top of an immense rock and surrounded by fascinating landscapes, where, according to legend, Santiago the Apostle led the Christian troops to defeat the Muslim army.
