Day 1 - Arrival in Corbridge
Start your next trip in amazing Newcastle where you will have the opportunity to get to know historical sites and enjoy a hot or cold drink, according to your taste before heading to Corbridge, where you will spend the first night on this amazing adventure.

Day 2 - Corbridge to Chollerford 10 miles | 16 km
This will be an ideal day to get to know more about the history of these lands, as you will have the possibility to explore the ruins of an ancient Roman city.
You will be able to visit several attractions that will transport you immediately back in time, including Corbridge Roman Town, a busy settlement that in the past, was one of the main supply centres for Romans and civilians.
Acomb: in the event of there being no availability at Chollerford, we will make arrangements for you to have transferred to Acomb and back to Chollerford the following day to start your route.
You will be able to visit several attractions that will transport you immediately back in time, including Corbridge Roman Town, a busy settlement that in the past, was one of the main supply centres for Romans and civilians.

Day 3 - Chollerford to Once Brewed 12,3 miles | 19,8 km
Today you will enjoy one of the best sections of Hadrian's Wall. During the first part of the day you will walk close to the wall and, after passing Shield, you can explore the Roman ruins and forts.
When you reach your destination, you will have the chance to visit Vindolanda, one of the forts that guarded the wall.

Day 4 - Once Brewed to Gilsland 8,8 miles | 14,1 km
You will walk through Northumberland National Park and ascend to Winshields Crags, which at 345 metres is the highest point on the route. We recommend that you have your camera on hand, because from there you will have some incredible panoramas.
Then you will continue along a well-preserved stretch of Hadrian's Wall until you reach Gilsland, a small town on the border between Cumbria and Northumberland.

Enjoy Hadrian's Hall at its best, as today you will walk along one of the best-preserved parts of the wall. You'll also see the lakes and the rugged mountain scenery that is typical of this region.
You will end the day in Brampton, a picturesque market town, which is located at the gates of the Roman fort of Birdoswald. From here, you'll get stunning views of the longest continuous stretch of Hadrian's Wall.
Lanercost or Haytongate: If there is no available accommodation in Brampton, you should head to Lanercost or Haytongate, both of which are approximately 5 kilometres from Brampton. Please note that if you are staying in Lanercost or Haytongate, the next day's distance will be reduced.
