Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Chipping Campden
This magical journey will begin in Chipping Campden, a charming town that has one of the most beautiful streets in all of England, the famous High Street. You can get there by train from London to Moreton-in-Marsh, and then take public transport to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Chipping Campden to Stanton 10 miles I 17 km
Stanton is our destination for today. It is a small but imposing town. Its streets are characterised by typical stone houses. 

On the way, you will find beautiful landscapes and the famous Broadway Tower. You will travel through the hills while enjoying the wonderful views, before arriving at your accommodation.

Broadway: If there is no accommodation available in Stanton, you will be accommodated here. We will make arrangements for you to transfer between the locations.

Day 3 - Stanton to Cleeve Hill 14 miles I 22,4 km
Today you will leave the pretty village of Stanton behind you. You will start your route with an ascent through beautiful fields of green meadows and woodland, often accompanied by sheep. 

You will pass the famous St Peter's Church in Stanway and then Beckbury Camp, an Iron Age limestone monument. The trail is long but easy to walk. 

You'll visit Winchcombe, where you can enjoy the streets, shops and tea rooms as you make your way to Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds. The views that await you there are breathtaking.

Cheltenham: If there is no accommodation available in Cleeve Hill, you will be accommodated here. We will make arrangements for you to have the necessary transfers between the locations.

Day 4 - Cleeve Hill to Seven Springs 8 miles I 13 km
After enjoying your breakfast, you will begin your spectacular day's tour of the Cotswolds. Immerse yourself in the middle of lush trees with calm paths, as you ascend and descend hills, breathing in fresh air. 

A pastoral landscape will guide you through the green meadows through Dowdeswell Wood to a reserve near Seven Springs. 

Cheltenham: in the event of there being no availability at Seven Springs, we will make arrangements for you to have transferred to Cheltenham and back to Seven Springs the following day to start your route.

Day 5 - Seven Springs to Painswick 14,7 miles I 23,8 km
Today you will be able to explore the rural essence of England a little more. The path will gradually take you away from the streets and villages, and immerse you in beautiful forests, with quiet and fascinating trails

At Charlton Kings Common, you'll see the famous rock known as "Devil's Chimney". Then continue your way until you reach Painswick, a small village that is easy to explore but despite its few streets will surprise you with its impressive architecture. 

Its church is one of the most beautiful of the Cotswolds, has 99 trees around it and legend says that the devil will not let the hundredth tree grow.

Day 6 - Painswick to King's Stanley 9,3 miles I 15 km
Wake up once again in the Cotswolds and continue your adventure. Get ready to follow a path surrounded by green nature. The extensive views will reward you on every kilometre you continue.  

Your accommodation awaits you in King's Stanley, a town that will surprise you. Once there you can enjoy its incredible and cosy streets, full of treasures to discover.

The White Hart is located about a 25-minute walk from Woodchester Mansion. It offers a delicious breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, it features board games, billiards, and darts.

Day 7 - King's Stanley to Wotton-under-Edge 15 miles | 24 km
Today's walk is a little more challenging than on previous days, so make sure you start with plenty of energy. 

You'll head out of King's Stanley into the hills and make your way along undulating paths through the hills. Along the way, you'll come across ancient cemeteries before reaching the Tyndale Monument. From the edge of this ridge, you will have splendid and unforgettable views. 

You will continue on your way to Wotton-under-Edge, where you will spend the night. This is a lively little village with streets adorned with beautiful flowers.

You will enjoy a long day amidst quiet trails, breathtaking views, old houses, green hills, trees and lots of nature that will accompany you all the way.

Day 8 - Wotton-under-Edge to Tormarton 15 miles | 24 km
Today's goal will be to reach the small and majestic village of Tormarton, the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful rural atmosphere. It has approximately 350 inhabitants; you will arrive there after a spectacular walk where you can get to know the incredible church of St. Mary Magdalene, dating back to the 12th century.  

Along the way, you'll pass through some of the best and most colourful views of the Cotswolds as you traverse the rolling hills and pass through some of the most incredible places with plenty of history.

Start your walk towards Dryham, once there, you can find the path that takes you to Cold Ashton, a charming little village.

To start your journey, the best option is to use the train connecting from London to Moreton-in-Marsh and Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon, and then take a bus to Chipping Campden or private transport, if you book in advance. 

At the end of your trip, you can take the train from Bath to London, or take local transport to Chipping Campden.
