Day 1 - Arrival in Chipping Campden
This magical journey will begin in Chipping Campden, a charming town that has one of the most beautiful streets in all of England, the famous High Street. You can get there by train from London to Moreton-in-Marsh, and then take public transport to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Chipping Campden to Stanton 10 miles I 17 km
Stanton is a small but imposing village, its streets are adorned with typical stone houses and will be your finishing point on this spectacular day. 

Along the way, you'll find beautiful scenery and the famous Broadway Tower. Walk through the hills, and enjoy wonderful views as you arrive at your accommodation.

Day 3 - Stanton to Winchcombe 7,7 miles I 12,4 km
As soon as you finish your breakfast, today's adventure will begin. Every step will take you away from Stanton, but it will bring you closer to Winchcombe, today's finishing line. 

You'll pass the famous Stanway Church, and then, Beckbury Camp. The trail is long but easy to navigate. 

As soon as you arrive in Winchcombe you can enjoy its streets, shops and typical tea rooms with a cosy and old atmosphere, which will make you feel like you are in another era.

Day 4 - Winchcombe to Seven Springs 14 miles I 22,5 km
When you leave Winchcombe, you will start climbing to the top of the Cotswold Hills. On this amazing walk you will find farms, sheep, trees, forests and a natural environment that will undoubtedly recharge you with the best energy and attitude to complete today's walk. 

You will continue to Belas Knap, a burial chamber dating back to 2500 BC. From here you will proceed along one of the last sections of the trail, which will take you to the highest point of this walk: Cleeve Hill. Further on, you will descend towards Seven Springs.

Cheltenham: If there is no availability at Seven Springs, you will be accommodated here. We will arrange for you to have the necessary transfers between the locations.

Day 5 - Seven Springs to Birdlip 7,5 miles I 12,2 km
Today awaits you another spectacular day in the Cotswolds, full of beauty and lots of nature. Walk along the splendid country trails that let you appreciate the essence of the northern Cotswolds. 

Leaving Seven Springs roads behind, you will ascend Hartley Hill and Leckhampton Hill, from where you can admire the surrounding scenery. Later, you'll head up to Crickley Hill. Each hilltop you conquer will offer fascinating views of the entire region. 

End your day with refreshing drinks at any of Birdlip's eye-catching bars, before arriving at your accommodation.

Day 6 - Birdlip to Painswick 7,3 miles I 11,8 km
On the route to Painswick you will cross a long forest path between ascents and descents.

You will also visit Cooper's Hill, a steep hill in Gloucestershire, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. This is the site of the annual Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake Festival, where around 5,000 people gather to watch people hurtle down the hill in pursuit of a round of cheese. 

Then you will pass Buckholt Wood, where you can descend to Painswick, one of the most beautiful villages on this Cotswolds trip. It'll take your breath away.

Travel & transfers

To start your journey, the best option is to use the train connecting from London to Moreton-in-Marsh and Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon, and then take a bus to Chipping Campden or private transport, if you book in advance. 

At the end of your trip, you can take the train from Painswick to Stroud and from there you can head on back to London.
